I got the honor of taking engagement photos for these two high school sweethearts and their beautiful pup. The love that they have for each other radiates. It was so fun walking around the banks of the Boise river capturing little glimpses of their love with my camera. I wish I was in Minnesota so I could be their wedding photographer as well. Joetta has the most contagious smile and Danny is such an easy guy to get a good shot of! I was very lucky to get this opportunity and I wish these two the best in life. Who knows, maybe we will run into each other on the river or trekking through the mountains of Idaho sometime. Congratulations you two!

Idaho My Love, My Home
I laugh when people ask what on earth there is in Idaho. I also feel blessed that this amazing place is as unnoticed as it is. That means it will stay beautiful and remote for those of us who just understand what on earth is here. I was born and raised in Idaho and although I long to experience other places from time to time, I could never leave Idaho for good. The beauty of this state is beyond measure and Idahoans know that. The forests and especially mountains are what really set us apart from other places. No we don’t have millions of people, or cities as big as Los Angeles, but we have nature and nature is life. It is rare you meet someone who lives in Idaho that says they don’t like it here. The ease of living and fantastic scenery are captivating and most who leave come back soon after. If you have never been here put it on your list of places to see, you wont be disappointed.
These photos are from one of Idahos most beautiful towns, Stanley. The Sawtooths are awe inspiring and a mecca for a wide variety of different activities at all times of the year. Please enjoy the few photos I snapped on a road trip. xoxo Idaho, we love you!

Our Forest Keepers in Training!
A few weeks ago I went to Salmon Idaho to check out the rookie rappel school. I’ll admit, I never had much interest in what a firefighter did, I guess it never seemed all that interesting or technical to me. But after watching these guys/girls in training, and speaking with some of them about the process I am fascinated! They work their butts off. Early mornings and long days prove how dedicated these people are to doing the job right. They are really good at making it look like a lot of fun though (I guess you should love your job!).
I want to get out and capture more photos of wild land firefighters on the job in all different aspects of the job but for now here are a few shots of them doing live jumps at the training center.

Like a Virgin!
I have been so out of the loop with shooting, editing, and blogging. The time to get back at it full force is now. My first real blog post features a woman I love so much. Shi is such a beautiful soul. Not only is she absolutely gorgeous she is also a great person to be around. We decided that a popular landmark in Boise was the perfect spot to accent her colorful shoot. Freak Alley Gallery is a place where artists get to express themselves on the walls of some of the most visible buildings downtown and we expressed ourselves fully during this shoot! I was blessed to work on this very fun Madonna themed shoot with her!
Delila is of the best makeup artists in Boise and also a great friend of mine. These two ladies radiate happiness and beauty. I love the people I get to work with, they make my days brighter!
